HOMEWORK POLICY

Homework for Fourth Graders is assigned each Monday through Thursday and should take about 30-40 minutes each night to complete.  Each student receives a Student Assignment Book.  Your child will be responsible for copying his/her assignments from the board each day.  Please check these assignment books daily and sign or initial them by Thursday of each week.  The assignment books will be checked every Friday morning for completion and a parent’s signature.  At the end of each week students will receive credit on their reward card.  It is important that you check the assignment book and your child’s work not only for completion, but to also keep current with what your child is learning.  Assignments completed on time will be given full credit.  Late or incomplete assignments will be deducted from the quarter grade accordingly.  In addition to daily homework, students will read  for a minimum of 15 minutes each night.  Students will keep track of their reading minutes in their assignment book and get parent initials weekly.
