Locating 50 States

Each year I expect the students to learn up to 25 of the 50 states.  The students will take a series of five tests starting with locating 5 states and continuing in increments of 5 until they locate 25 states.  I challenge every student to try for 50 states and those that do will receive a certificate and recognition at our June awards assembly.

Famous American Assembly

In Social Studies class, we touch on famous Americans in history.  To enrich our lessons, the students will complete a report on a famous American and then portray that person in a whole school assembly that the parents are invited to in April.

** We also do various projects throughout the year for our various subjects as well as service projects to support our community and parish.
