Welcome Eighth Graders
Grades will be based on your test performances, quizzes and the completion
of all classroom assignments. If you
fail to complete three assignments during the nine week grading period, your report card average will be lowered one grade
level. You will be informed if you are at risk.
Tests:
If you receive a grade lower than a C on a test or quiz, it will be sent home for a parent’s signature
and is due back within two class days. (A signed note stating that the test has been seen is also sufficient.)
If not returned,
phone calls will be made. A test is announced, anywhere from several days, to a week in advance. If you
are absent for a test, you may take it upon your return or wait one class day to review, but none of your classmates will
receive their test until you take yours.
Assignments are given to enhance classroom work and further
evaluate your progress and comprehension. Class time is provided to start and/or complete assignments. All
assignments should be returned to the homework files, locate in the room and plainly marked for each subject.
Daily assignments
are posted on the front board as well as upcoming tests.
Conduct:
Your behavior at Fatima will
determine your rewards or consequences. Verbal warnings will be followed by written misconduct referrals
for the same/continuous behavior as well as phone calls.
When necessary, participation in extra curricular activities will
be withheld including field trips
and scheduled events.
